A Campbell Christmas Story

Jason and I are two blessed people. God has been so good to us. Christmas is definitely my all time favorite time of year! I think I am more excited about the Christmas things like the food, decorating, shopping, and family even more than I am about Christmas Day. :) Here are some pictures from the celebrations we got to enjoy!

This was our table setting. I loved it! Most of it was hand-me-downs from my mom! :)

Jason's mom's family came of Thursday night to celebrate. She always spoils us rotten! I am such a giant compared to his family! :)

I am so lucky to call him my husband. He is sooo cute!

He is so good to me!

This is Jason's sister Jessica (aka Kiki) and her boyfriend Brad. They are such a sweet couple!

Jason had to work Christmas Night, so we decided to open Christmas gifts Christmas Eve morning so he could sleep all of Christmas morning. His surprise gift was a personalized garage sign. He got a bunch of other things, but I think this was his favorite.

My surprise gift, well there were a few others, but Jason got me a matching coach purse AND wallet! Wow! I have never had a matching purse and wallet. I love it!

On Christmas Eve night we go to Jason's grandma's and they have a huge party. There are so many of us. After that, we celebrate with his Dad. We opened presents at 10:00 and have bbq sandwiches. It is kind of weird, but one of my favorite traditions. I love his dad so much. Buddy is such good dad to both me and Jason.

This is Jason and me with his dad Buddy and Buddy's wife Tracey.

Buddy got me this really cool wall collage. I put our wedding pics in it, but I am not sure it will stay this way. I loved this gift.

Jason is a real handy man. He can usually fix most things and if he can't, his dad can. Buddy always gets Jason tools and this year he got a massive air compresser.

We spent Christmas Day with my mom. Our family is huge! Especially when you take in a husband, boyfriend, fiance and three dogs that are treated like people! :)
My mom got most of us electronic gifts. Jason and I got Ipod touches. We are now cool! I really really really love mine! She also spoiled us with other gifts too and GREAT food!
Because there are so many siblings in my family, we draw names. I love that we do this because it takes a lot of stress and it is so much fun! Luke got Jason's name. He is obsessed with treasure hunting. So, he made jason a little scavenger hunt to find....
This, an industrial sized shop vac. Jason got it out Monday, and it is massive and great for the garage!
Here is mom opening up her gifts. Jason and I got her a sweater , some jewelry, photo frames and a wall collage! I love the look on my sister's face in this picture.
The day after Christmas Katie and I braved the mall crowds to find a few good deals. We did! Jerel, Mom and I decided to go to Edinburg Outlets too.
Yesterday, my grandma took Jason, my mom, my brother Jared and me to French Lick. It was amazing. This hotel was a hot spot in the 1900s and 1920s. After the crash in 1929, the hotel stopped having visitors. The owner sold it the the Jesuits for $1. I think that is unreal. I loved visiting it and this history behind it. The nerd in me wishes time travel was possible and I could visit it and brush the shoulder of Al Capone in the 20s! :)
I hope your Christmas was all you meant for it to be. I hope you had time to be with your friends and family. Most importantly, I hope you got to reflect on Jesus. Thank you for coming my savior!

Could it be?

Is it really May since my last post? ughh... so much I have missed blogging about! I want to blog, because I have a terrible memory. I want to remember this season of my life, especially when I am old and gray! Too bad gray is coming too soon... Ha! :)

Today is the first snow day of this school year. I think I am probably a bit more pumped about it than my students! Yes, for sure! I think Jason and I are going to brave the roads and do some errands. I need to...

-Go to Michaels and get all my christmas cookie ingredients/decorations
-Pick Up Jason's dad's Christmas gift
-Make corn casserole for my school's christmas party tonight

-I am thinking a chick-fil-a lunch should be on the list too!

Have a great day!

Moving In... Moving Out

Well, I LOVE my house. I think that is a bit of an understatment! I will hopefully soon attach pictures detailing my favorite things, but that is a huge thing keeping me going right now!

Jason has worked so hard making our house a home. He has added awesome landscaping. I cant wait to show some before and after pictures soon.

I only have a few more days til the end of the year! Another understatement is I am thrilled school is almost out. Whew, this has been a hard year. I hope I have grown, but I really need just a refreshing. Teaching can be the best job ever I think, and in some cases, it wears me down pretty low sometimes. I need strength. I am so thankful God graciously gave me this job, and I need grace to finish the job this year. I know I CAN do all things through Jesus!

Moving out of what you might ask? Well, I am moving out of my classroom now and get to move into a new school! They are moving all primary grades to a learning center. I just saw my new room today and I am ohh so happy! It has a big beautiful purple wall that looks into a sensory garden. What exciting news?! Can I get those five year olds to focus on me though instead of the garden? That will be the tricky part!

The book I am reading for bible study is Inside Out. It is really good and I am really enjoying it. Do you think I am immature by saying I wish the print was a tad bit larger and there were a few pictures in it? :)

Have a great night!
Lots of love,
Janaea

Blog Dropout, ...No More!

Okay, Okay, I stopped blogging for a little bit. I hate that I stopped, but I did. I am back! Hopefully! :)

I am so thankful for our new home! Jason and I get the keys Sunday! More on that soon. Right now I am living in a complete mess of boxes. Jason and I were just talking that we keep working on packing, but we never feel like we make progress! I can't wait to live in one place with everything in its place and a place for everything! I am trying to enjoy the journey.

School is almost out and I am oh so thankful for that too! I have some students I will dearly miss, but I LOVE summer! I am taking a master's course that will take up most of my time but I am really excited about it!

Have a fabulous Saturday!

Love, Janaea

With promises to be back soon.............................. :)

The Worman Church

Did you know there was such a thing as the Worman church? Well, I found out today from a very informative five year old that it exists. To him, they are completely evil people!

Here is a glimpse into my world of five year olds, pencils, crayons, writing paper, and math manipulatives:

Student: "Mrs. Campbell, do you know there is such a thing as the Worman church!!! ?"
Me: "Why no, What?????"
Student: SPEAKING LOUDLY AND AS PASSIONATE AS A FIVE YEAR OLD CAN BE: "I am never, I mean never ,joining the Worman Church. They are terrbible. They dont even let you drink hot chocolate or red drinks. My mom told me all about it. My sister is getting baptized there next week, and she will never drink hot chocolate again."

Me: (Thinking, what in the world am I going to say, what warped thinking has this child been taught?) Me: Laughing so hard I can barely breathe...

Me: "Wow, I didn't know that"

I LOVE my job! :)

Today is such a cold wintry day with the snow blowing outside. I think I will put some warm pjs on, drink hot chocolate and be greatful Jesus saved me. I am so grateful I do not belong to the "worman church"

Birthday Blessings!

I hope you had a good Valentine's Day. I know it is so hard, well it was for me, when I didnt have Jason to spend and share this day with. I was praying and thinking about my single friends this day a lot- More than you will know.
I have always loved V-day, even when I was single. WhY? Because it is my birthday! I was often told I would get jipped on this day because my future husband would only get to give me one gift for two Holidays. Those people did not know I would marry Mr. Jason Micheal Campbell.
He got my some gorgeous roses! I will always melt when given flowers. period. end of story.

He also got me some of my favorite perfume from Clinique called, Happy and some really cute jewelry from Lia Sophia. I got some last year and totally loved it. It was so sweet for him to remember. He also bought me a really cute top from my all time favorite store Ann Taylor Loft.
I had a great day celebrating! We went to my Mom's for pork roast, salad, rolls, broccoli casserole and potatoes. We had hot brownie sundae's for my b-day desert. My mom even cut them in the shapes of hearts. What an awesome mom I have!

We laughed our heads off during dessert. This picture is blurry, but shows how much we were laughing!

Luke, humoring me when I am taking his picture!

Thank you LORD for my 25 years. Thank you for the people that surrounded me that day and showed me just how loved I am!
